AICLF is a micro-loan fund for internationally trained immigrants in Atlantic Canada to update skills and obtain licenses or certifications.

ISSofBC's foreign credential program provides easy approval low-interest loans to fund local training, retraining and professional certifications.

PICS' foreign credential recognition loans program offers multiple loans up to $30,000 to cover the costs of credentialing.

Recognition Counts offers the opportunity to apply for a loan of up to $30,000 Assiniboine Credit Union, to help with the cost of having your qualifications recognized in Manitoba and obtaining employment in your occupation.

IEN - Internationally Educated Nurses

Bursary for Internationally Educated Nurses (BIEN)
BIEN provides funding to IEN's to complete bridging training, in exchange for a period of time working in rural Alberta. The application portal is currently closed, but a notification list is available for future opportunities.

Internationally Educated Nurse Bursary Program
Through Health Match BC, the Province provides assistance to Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) pursuing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) with financial support through a combination of fee waivers and bursaries (reimbursements). These supports will help to offset the costs of an IEN’s international credential assessment, English language testing, skill evaluation, and educational upgrading.
