About the N4 Network
Are there requirements to join the N4 Network?
To join the network, you need to be working or volunteering directly with newcomers in some capacity.
Do I have to pay a fee to join the N4 Network?
Membership to the N4 Network is free.

 

Newcomer navigation
What is a newcomer navigator?
A newcomer navigator is a key member of a multidisciplinary care team within an organization. Depending on what services provided, individual training and background may vary. Some navigators may have clinical licenses, like nurses and social workers, while others may be non-clinical professionals.
What kinds of work does a newcomer navigator do?
Navigators help people manage their experience with an organization. They connect disparate areas in a health-care system and are important contacts for community partners and other stakeholders.

Do I need to pay to attend a live webinar or watch a past one?
No, both our live and on-demand webinars are 100% free.
Will I receive a certificate after attending a webinar?
Certificate of attendanceYes, you will receive a certificate for each webinar you attend, live or on-demand.
Can I suggest a topic for a webinar?

Sign Up
I want to become a member, but I don't have an organization email. What should I do?
To become a member, you should apply with a valid email address that has been supplied by your organization. But if you do not have a corporate email address, you can apply with a non-corporate one as well. Site administrators will review your application and follow up accordingly.
I did not receive the verification email. What should I do?

If you didn't receive the verification email when you signed up, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

 

Step 1: Check your spam folder

  • Open the email account you used to create your N4 user account and check your spam folder.
  • If you find the email sent by N4: Mark it as not spam and click on the link inside it to proceed with the user profile creation.
  • If you find the email but the verification link is expired, please go to step 2 below.

 

Step 2: Reset your password and resend another verification code

If you couldn't find the N4 email inside your spam folder (or if the link inside the email message is expired), go to members.newcomernavigation.ca/login and execute steps 1-4 below.

  1. Click on the Reset Password link and enter the email you used to apply for an N4 account. Then, click on the Submit button (you will receive an email from N4).
  2. Click on the link inside the email you received, then add and confirm your new password. Now, sign in with your email and password.
  3. If you see a message informing that your account has not been verified yet, click on the Resend verification code link. Then, click on the link inside the verification email you received.
  4. Sign in with your email and password. Then, click on the My Profile button to create and submit your user profile. Now you have full access to the N4 member area! Feel free to explore, connect and share.

 

Step 3: Contact us

If you cannot sign in and access your user profile page after executing the steps above, please contact us (select Sign In / Sign Up on the Subject field and enter the email address you used to create your account).

The verification code expired before I could use it. What should I do?

Please execute steps 1-4 below if the account verification code expired before you could use it.

  1. Go to members.newcomernavigation.ca/login. Click on the Reset Password link and enter the email you used to apply for an N4 account. Then, click on the Submit button (you will receive an email from N4).
  2. Click on the link inside the email you received, then add and confirm your new password. Now, sign in with your email and password.
  3. You should see a message informing that your account has not been verified yet. Please click on the Resend verification code link. Then, click on the link inside the verification email you received.
  4. Sign in with your email and password. Then, click on the My Profile button to create and submit your user profile. Now you have full access to the N4 member area! Feel free to explore, connect and share.

How do I delete my user account?

Please follow these steps to delete your user account:

  1. Go to newcomernavigation.ca/member-support.
  2. Select Sign In/Sign Up on the Subject dropdown.
  3. On the My request field, inform you want to delete your account, and click on the Submit button.

 

Sign In
I forgot my password. What should I do to reset it?

Please follow these steps to reset your password:

  1. Go to the Sign In page;
  2. Click on the Reset Password link;
  3. Inform the email address you used to created your user account;
  4. Click on the Submit button;
  5. A pop-up message will inform that the reset password request was sent to your email;
  6. Next, open the message on your email client and click on the link to reset your password.
I cannot open member area pages. What should I do?

You could be experiencing a cookie-related issue and need a cookie reset. A cookie is a small amount of data stored by your browser on your local drive. N4 uses cookies to authenticate and help users navigate our website.

 

How to reset N4 cookies on your browser

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome. Then, at the top right, click on the additional options Additional options
  2. Click Settings > Under "Privacy and security", click Cookies and other site data.
  3. Scroll down and click on See all cookies and site data.
  4. At the top right, search for newcomernavigation.ca
  5. Click on the Remove icon (trash can) of the newcomernavigation.ca site(s):
    Google Chrome: Remove cookie

 

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge. Then, at the top right, click on Settings and more  ···
  2. Click Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data.
  3. Select See all cookies and site data.
  4. Search for newcomernavigation.ca and remove it.

 

Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer. Then, at the top right, click on the Tools gear Microsoft Internet Explorer
  2. Click Internet options > Select the General tab.
  3. Under the Browsing History section, select Settings > Click View files.
  4. Scroll through the list of cookies to find the newcomernavigation.ca one and delete it. After you find it, press Delete on the keyboard and select Yes on the pop-up box.

 

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox. Then, at the top right, click on the Menu option Mozilla Firefox menu option
  2. Click Settings > Under the "Privacy and security" panel, go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
  3. Click the Manage Data... field, search for newcomernavigation.ca and remove them:

When you sign up to become an N4 member, we will send a message to the email address you informed in the sign up form. The message contains a verification link that you need to click on to create your user profile.
