The following data shows the self-reported rates of certain crimes, by immigrant status and gender. These data may indicate areas where additional supports are needed. Perceptions of police performance show that people from different racialized backgrounds may have significantly different ideas of how well police are performing. This indicates that when an individual reports that they have been the victim of a crime, their support and justice needs could vary.
